Famous in Love: Despite the fan and cast campaign going on over the Twitterverse to encourage Freefall Freeform to renew Famous in Love, it's highly unlikely the teen soap will continue on past its sophomore season. The series, which hails from Pretty Little Liars creator Marlene King, is currently averaging an abysmal 0.10 in the 18-49 demo, which may not be Freeform's most targeted demo, but it is still embarrassing even for Freeform's standards and cannot be ignored. These ratings are simply too awful to score a renewal. I'm sorry fans (myself included), but get ready to say goodbye to Famous in Love.

Return this summer

Animal Kingdom: TNT's darling summer series returned yesterday, but not how you'd expect it to. The series received a special timeslot airing for the season three premiere - at 12:25AM airing after a special that took viewers inside the NBA playoffs. I'm sure the executives at Turner were not expecting much out of the premiere of a third season, heavily serialized show airing in the wee hours of the morning during a weeknight; so they were likely taken aback when they saw that the Animal Kingdom sneak peek scored a series high 0.66 in the 18-49 demo and a series high viewer count as well. This premiere rating was already enough to score a fourth, fifth, and maybe even a sixth season renewal for the Ellen Barkin-led series, and when the usual very strong weekly ratings begin to trickle in over the summer in the series' regular timeslot, this decision will be even more reinforced for the TNT executives.

Animal Kingdom will not be going anywhere anytime soon.

Good Behavior: You've probably already forgotten that the Michelle Dockery led drama ever existed as this low rated series aired its second season finale half a year ago, and has still yet to have a decision made on its future. Based off the ratings alone, Good Behavior screams cancellation. However, more often than not, no news means good news - especially in the cable world. If TNT knew they were going to cancel the series based off the book, it would've been canceled months ago. The ratings were not that of a tossup nor that of a hit - making the decision clear and easy for TNT (or so one would think). However, Good Behavior fits TNT's new, more adult-oriented brand and as president Kevin Reilly recently stated, he is trying to find a way to renew the crime drama for a third season that will properly conclude the series' story and give the fans a proper send-off. While his motive is likely based in the fact that he loves the show and the brand it helps TNT build, not ratings and caring for the fans, this is still a good indication of a renewal.
