The hard-data wall appears to be 1963, with only top-30 data available prior.  Being this data is over 50 years old, locating complete season data from the elusive Nielsen organization is a daunting task.  So for the time being, enjoy a peak at the seasons.
CBS' reign continued supreme, but the real MVP this season was ABC, which hitched its wagons to Western-apparel and scored 7 notches in the top 30 and matched NBC. 12 Westerns dominated the roster, and the remains scattered between sitcoms, dramas, variety and gameshow pieces.

ABC maintained 7 holdings while NBC lost two places.  Gameshows gained ground as a few less Westerns shot holes into the top 30.
