Dancing With the Stars Season 25 Episode 5 Review

"It's Most Memorable Year - Sponsored by Kleenex" Night on Dancing With the Stars. This is traditionally one of the best AND most depressing nights of the DWTS season, so this is gonna be super fun.

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas -
This was so touching and moving. I really thought I was gonna burst into tears a few times during this, it was so beautiful. Lindsey continues to be one of my favorites this season. I didn't enjoy this dance quite as much as last week, but I still loved it.
My Score: 9

Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess -
This is probably my favorite dance of Derek's so far. It was a sweet dance that had a lot of energy and  was an improvement on last week's dance. Good job Derek!
My Score: 7

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson -
I've been so impressed with Frankie this season, and that was no different tonight. This was a really fun and happy dance that was in no way indicative of the tug-at-you-heartstrings routines that had yet to come. It was very fun to watch and I'm glad to see that he's improving, though I have yet to see a dance of his that's as good as his third dance.
My Score: 8

Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd -
This was a slight improvement from last week. It was a nice little tribute to his wife and it was his best dance so far. However, I still can't help but feel that Nick is one of the celebrities that has improved the least since week one, and he has yet to really wow me, so maybe next week...?
My Score: 8

Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy -
For the fifth time in a row, Vanessa out-danced her husband. This was a very enjoyable dance that was probably my favorite of hers so far. It wasn't the best of the night, but it was still very good.
My Score: 8

Drew Scott and Emma Slater -
Drew has really impressed me this season, with consistent growth each week and many entertaining routines. This energetic jive was no different, and with a little help from fellow Property Brother Jonathan, this was his best dance so far.
My Score: 8

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke -
I've been pretty tough on Terrell this season, but this really was a lovely dance. It was very heartfelt, and it's by far his best dance. It was a great tribute to his grandmother, and I really enjoyed watching it. It was very sweet.
My Score: 8

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy -
In the past two episodes, Victoria has disappointed me a little after a wonderful second dance. She has truly redeemed herself with this inspiring number, her best so far and one of my personal favorites of the season.
My Score: 9

Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko -
Sasha's dance last week was lackluster, especially since she's proven to be much better than it. But this was very good, proving that last week was the exception and not the rule.
My Score: 8

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev -
This was easily Nikki's best dance, far better than last week's and one of the night's stronger dances. Nikki's definitely a fighter (in more ways than one), and this dance was a real knockout. I apologize for that awful pun.
My Score: 8

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold -
This really was a great dance. After a very fun (but not very traditional) Charleston last week, this was a super emotional and touching tribute to his parents, and it was easily the best dance of both the night and of Jordan's DWTS career.
My Score: 10

Superlatives:
Dancer of the Night: Jordan & Lindsay
Honorable Mention: Lindsey & Mark

Wrap-Up-
This was a good episode, with some very emotional numbers and some very fun ones. As always, some of the stories were pretty devastating, but it was great to learn more about the celebrities and get to know them a bit better.
