"Stranger Things" Season 2 rises to the top.NETFLIX
Stranger Things (#1) scared its way to the top of the charts this week, with viewers watching between 4 and 5 episodes on average over the weekend when Netflix dropped Season 2. A whopping 10% of streams were devoted to the nostalgic 80s sci-fi drama, which has been nothing short of a cultural phenomenon since its debut in 2016. Riverdale (#2) was knocked out of the top spot this week with about 2.7% of streams, which is still impressive for a drama that has accomplished the rare and unexpected feat of doubling its live ratings from season one. Another new entry making waves this week is AMC's The Walking Dead (#3), showing that fans are still keeping up with the monstrous post-apocalyptic zombie series in its eighth season on the air. Still in the Top 10 but down two spots each from last week are Grey's Anatomy (#4) and The Big Bang Theory (#5).

The Flash (#6) dipped a spot from last week, while How to Get Away with Murder (#7) took a dive downward from last week's No. 4 position. Arrow (#8) and Lucifer (#9) also dipped in rank week-to-week, though the former marks The CW's third Top 10 show and the latter is FOX's only show to make the cut. Both are worth celebrating for different reasons and reflect that these DC properties are quite reliably popular with fans in their respective sixth and third seasons. Lastly, American Horror Story (#10) surged back into the chart this week, thanks to fans watching about 2 episodes a piece of the anthology series.
