Aasim's Fall 2017 Fantasy Schedule

Hey guys it's Aasim. With just a few days to go before the official schedules, I figured it was time to honour our annual tradition of posting our home made schedules before the big upfronts week. Some may find my scheduling to be odd but I tried to make my schedules as plausible yet unreasonable as possible. I  have even added explanations for my questionable choices for a more detailed reading experience. I hope you enjoy it.

ABC

Sunday
8:00 - Mayor comedy (NEW)
8:30 - Start Up (NEW)
9:00 - Deception (NEW)
10:00 - Once Upon a time

Monday
8:00 - Dancing with the stars
10:00 - Marc Cherry project (NEW)

Tuesday
8:00 - The Middle
8:30 - Libby & Malcolm (NEW)
9:00 - American housewife
9:30 - Fresh off the boat
10:00 - The Inhumans

Wednesday
8:00 - The Goldbergs
8:30 - Speechless
9:00 - Modern Family
9:30 - Blackish
10:00 - Designated Survivor

Thursday
8:00 - Grey's Anatomy
9:00 - Scandal
10:00 - How to get away with murder

Friday
8:00 - Last Man Standing
8:30 - Household Name (NEW)
9:00 - Shark Tank
10:00 - 20/20

Mid season: Shondaland Law Drama, Losing It, The Good Doctor

Explanations:
1. Deception could be put in the same slot as Time after Time because as a high concept drama, it might be able to hold against The Walking Dead. (Emphasis on might)

2. With the amount of existing shows most likely being renewed, I think its safe to bet on a new comedy block appearing on the schedule

3. Wednesdays and Thursdays: If it ain't broke

CBS

Sunday
8:00 - Madam Secretary
9:00 - NCIS: LA
10:00 - Elementary

Monday
8:00 - Kevin Can Wait
8:30 - Man with a Plan
9:00 - Brothered up
9:30 - Superior Donuts
10:00 - Scorpion

Tuesday
8:00 - NCIS
9:00 - Bull
10:00 - NCIS:NO

Wednesday
8:00 - Survivor
9:00 - S.W.A.T. (NEW)
10:00 - Criminal Minds

Thursday
8:00 - The Big Bang Theory
8:30 - 9J, 9K and 9L
9:00 - Mom
9:30 - Life in Pieces
10:00 - The Get (NEW)

Friday
8:00 - MacGyver
9:00 - Hawaii 5-0
10:00 - Blue Bloods

Mid season: Young Sheldon, Navy SEAL drama, Instinct

Explanation:
1. I can see The Get ending up like Pure Genius. It's not their usual cup of tea which may lead the show to die

2. I put Young Sheldon on mid season because I was really unsure of where to put it. On one hand, putting it on Thursday after The Big Bang Theory might feel like over saturation plus the schedule will look like this
8:00 - Multi camera comedy
8:30 - Single camera comedy
9:00 - Multi camera comedy
9:30 - Single camera comedy

On the other hand, I feel like it might look really out of place on Monday

3. Most nights are pretty stable because CBS tends to play safe.

CW

Monday
8:00 - Supergirl
9:00 - Insatiable  (NEW)

Tuesday
8:00 - The Flash
9:00 - Dynasty (NEW)

Wednesday
8:00 - Arrow
9:00 - Black Lightning (NEW)

Thursday
8:00 - Supernatural
9:00 - Riverdale

Friday
8:00 - Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
9:00 - Jane The Virgin

Midseason: The 100, Izombie, Legends of Tomorrow, Searchers

Explanation:
1. The CBS dramadies haven't been doing so well. Crazy Ex already got banished to Friday last season and with Jane airing its 4th (and possibly final) season, it doesn't seem right to give it the Supergirl lead in. Insatiable may need Supergirl's lead-in if it can get a decent shot at survival, especially when you consider its messed up premise

2. While it may not have worked last season with No Tomorrow, CBS might pressure The CW into giving another incompatible show the post Flash slot given the lack of major success among the CBS dramas on The CW

FOX

Sunday
7:30 - Bob's Burgers
8:00 - The Simpsons
8:30 - Ghosted (NEW)
9:00 - Family Guy
9:30 - Last Man on Earth

Monday
8:00 - Gifted (NEW)
9:00 - Lucifer

Tuesday
8:00 - Brooklyn nine nine
8:30 - Linda from HR (NEW)
9:00 - The Resident (NEW)

Wednesday
8:00 - Behind Enemy Lines (NEW)
9:00 - Empire

Thursday
8:00 - Orville (NEW)
9:00 - Lethal Weapon

Friday
8:00- The Exorcist
9:00 - Sleepy Hollow

Mid season: LA to Vegas, The Mick, The X- Files, The Passage, Controversy, Star, Gotham

Explanation:
1. Finally going below a 2 this season has proved that Empire is no longer the pristine stallion it once was but I am sure it can still give a boost to Behind Enemy Lines

2. Gifted is said to only have 10-13 episodes so it can finish its season early leaving Gotham to return in January or February. Lucifer has an extended 26 episode order so that should be enough to keep it in its time slot for the entire season

NBC

Monday
8:00 - The Voice
10:00 - Rise (NEW)

Tuesday
8:00 - The Voice
9:00 - This is Us
10:00 - Chicago Fire

Wednesday
8:00 - For God & Country (NEW)
9:00 - Law & Order SVU
10:00 - Chicago PD

Thursday
8:00 - Superstore
8:30 - The Good Place
9:00 - Law & Order: True Crime(NEW)
10:00 - The Blacklist

Friday
8:00 - Will and Grace (NEW)
8:30 - Relatively Happy (NEW)
9:00 - Chicago Med
10:00 - Dateline

Mid season: Shades of Blue, Sackett Sisters, Chicago Justice, Taken, Trial & Error, Reverie

Explanation: NBC has a pretty tight schedule with their dramas so I don't expect them to order many new dramas
