More news from The TV Ratings Guide. Two more comedies have received pilot orders, those being Sugarland, and Imperfect World. The news comes just about a month after the website announced its first ever original programs tournament. Readers had the chance to submit show ideas of their own, for a chance to get a pilot picked up by the website, and if lucky, eventually, get to publish episodes of the series on the site.
Sugarland, is a workplace-hangout comedy that is about five best friends and co-workers at the nation's largest candy factory, the show will follow their professional and personal lives. Mitch is the floor manager who frequently takes the blame for the many mistakes of his friends, and his career is frequently in danger. But, his friends, including his sister Mary, his college roommate Tom, and his cousin Maggie, and Clay, who they all know for some reason, always come through for him, and save his job at the Sugariest Place on Earth. Created by Rebecca Bunch (who is landing several pilot orders here at The TV Ratings Guide.)
Imperfect World, hailing from Hunter Vogt (who already received a pilot order today), is about an optimistic, book-smart girl who decides to move to the city just like her idols, her much older siblings, but she has no idea how difficult adult life really is.
Shows that receive a pilot order are to send in (via email(see comments)), a longer pitch for their series. Once all are received, The TV Ratings Guide will announce which series have landed a series order. The best 8 series will be ordered to series.
