Well, this is about to get interesting. But can she match her predecessor, Paul Lee, for the amount of withering disdain in her answers? Only time will tell. #TCA16— Erik Adams (@ErikMAdams) August 4, 2016
Update #4: The executive panel is about to start!
Update #5: We have some renewals to report! ABC renews Celebrity Family Feud, Pyramid, and Match Game.
Update #6: To Tell the Truth has also been renewed at ABC. No mention of BattleBots or Greatest Hits.
Update #7: Not much is being said about Notorious. That doesn't seem like a vote of confidence.
Update #8: She says this about Conviction, American Housewife, and Speechless:
Dungey on #Speechless: Scott Silvieri rendered a family so genuine, real, funny, fits in w/the families we have on air at ABC. #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Hmmmm.....Dungey on #AmericanHousewife: Katy Mixon is fabulous, feisty. This show is universal. There's something there for everyone. #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Update #9: There's also no mention on 500 Questions.
Update #10: About Castle...
My guess is due to fan backlash."We did not feel that it was the right thing to do to order another season” — Channing Dungey says of #Castle #TCA16— Natalie Abrams (@NatalieAbrams) August 4, 2016
Update #11: American Crime was also mentioned. Dungey felt that it was more important to have some shows that creatively thrive. Critical acclaim!
Update #12: ABC wants to explore a Star Wars series, plus wants more diversity for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette series.
Update #13: Scandal returns in January, along with the TGIT mantra.
I wonder if this could work long-term.Very smart decision re TGIT, btw. Needs to be all-Shonda, all-the-time. #TCA16— Jason Lynch (@jasonlynch) August 4, 2016
Update #14: Oh really? Then why is Nashville on CMT?
Update #15: Okay, now we are getting into the point of no return.#ABC boss Channing Dungey: #Nashville is a show that I loved and to not have it back was a heartbreak for me. #TCA16— Debra Birnbaum (@debrabirnbaum) August 4, 2016
Update #16: This marks the end of the executive panel. With a mention about Agents of SHIELD.
Update #17: Surprised nothing was said about The Real O'Neals. Either that, or I missed the tweet cycle.Dungey says they've had lots of convos with @Marvel team about upcoming projects. Very excited about new season of @AgentsofSHIELD #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Update #18: Or The Catch. Coming up next: the Speechless panel.
Update #19: I have to admit, Channing's panel brought some mixed reviews. Back to Speechless, the trailer is getting rare applause at the TCAs. Panel starts right now.
Update #20: Some Speechless buzz.
"It is a high degree of difficult to pull this character off." Minnie Driver with a humblebrag I'm OK with bc SHE DOES. #TCA16 #Speechless— Kevin Fallon (@kpfallon) August 4, 2016
Actually Micah's twitter is @micahdfowler, TCA..#Speechless on #ABC is funny @MinnieDriver sees to that & has heart because of @MicahFowler. #TCA16 pic.twitter.com/7yIOAWyPRn— The TCA (@OfficialTCA) August 4, 2016
Update #21: Awwwww....
Interesting.Scott Silveri on tone: we were vigilant about subverting the "Afterschool Special" quality of the show's logline. #Speechless #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Update #23: TCA now on a lunch break until 1pm in Pacific time. Then the Conviction panel happens. Hopefully we'll get some buzz.
Update #25: Get your petitions ramping up to revive Agent Carter, because Conviction is not getting any good reviews.
I really like #HayleyAtwell at lot. I wish I liked her new #ABC show, #Conviction, but it's pretty much dreadful. #TCA16— Scott D. Pierce (@ScottDPierce) August 4, 2016
Time for some discussion.Breaking at #TCA16: the guy next to me is watching Whitney Houston videos instead of the panel onstage.— Alex Zalben (@azalben) August 4, 2016
Update #26: I couldn't read the rest of the tweets for the show. But we have fifteen minutes until The Second Fattest Housewife in Westport...I mean American Housewife.
Update #27: While American Housewife starts, I figured I would add one more thing about Conviction.
Interesting.Mark Gordon is likening #Conviction to Howard Hawks' classic film comedies with fast-talking men and women. #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Preach it, girl!#AmericanHousewife's @KatyEMixon:I've never let the media dictate my identity... I've been blessed whether I'm a Size 2 or a Size 14 #TCA16— Hanhonymous (@Hanhonymous) August 4, 2016
Update #30: Some tweets, teasing some details.
#AmericanHousewife is about how you can "relate to insecurities" though I'm really not sure about the "fat"-shaming. #TCA16— KSiteTV (@KSiteTV) August 4, 2016
Regardless if you're into the show, you'll watch #AmericanHousewife because @KatyEMixon is just seriously beyond charming #TCA16— Emily Longeretta (@emilylongeretta) August 4, 2016
The panel is going well. But critics are mixed.Sarah Dunn: I'm happy we changed the title. I feel like the new one opens doors instead of closing them. #AmericanHousewife #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Update #31: Some more information about the comedy.
Update #32: Notorious is up next. We'll see what the hoopla is all about, especially since Channing had nothing much to say.Sarah Dunn says the women in her neighborhood are great friends to her & have given her great material for #AmericanHousewife #TCA16— Diane Gordon (@thesurfreport) August 4, 2016
Update #33: It begins now!
Update #34: Some information.
#Notorious is mostly inspired by the Scott Peterson case, and how he "used" the show producer Wendy Walker was working on #TCA16— TV Guide (@TVGuide) August 4, 2016
#Notorious EP @bermanjosh says it's about the intersection of press and law, people now believe the two work together. #TCA16 #ABC— Damian Holbrook (@damianholbrook) August 4, 2016
Update #35: More on Notorious.
In case you didn't know, Mark Geragos was Kesha's former lawyer."Mark [Geragos] is a master manipulator of the press." - @wendywalkernews #TCA16 #Notorious @PromaxBDA— Cate Lecuyer (@CateLecuyer) August 4, 2016
Update #36: Whoa! Pretty freaking controversial!
Update #37:"That is not the point of the show, and there is comeuppance." - @bermanjosh on whether #Notorious condones violence against women #TCA16— TV Guide (@TVGuide) August 4, 2016
I feel that it's more like a TNT show to be honest.#Notorious feels like a very USA Network-type show... if it was still sort of doing the whole "blue-skies" thing. #TCA16— Philiana (@insidethetube) August 4, 2016
Update #38: One last tweet about Notorious, then the ABCd presentation. This live stream will take short break. Notorious will have a slight serial element.
Update #39: ABC is giving a presentation about the ABC app and ABCd. After this will be the comedy showrunners panel, then an hour after the showrunner panel will be the black-ish panel."We're not a show that's going to take a whole season to resolve cases." - @bermanjosh on how serial #Notorious will be #TCA16— TV Guide (@TVGuide) August 4, 2016
Update #40: All quiet on the western front, but black-ish's panel starts momentarily.
Update #41: Here are the highlights from the comedy showrunners' panel. Nathan Fillion will be guest starring on Modern Family next season. The news is still developing, as it was just announced as breaking news by TVLine's very own Michael Ausiello. The Real O'Neals' showrunner defends Noah Galvin, saying that "we all say things that we regret." That doesn't bode well. And The Real O'Neals also has six gay writers in the room.
Update #42: Standing by for the black-ish panel. Stay tuned for more coverage!
Update #43: The show's third season picks up where it left off, after the end of season 2. There will be a pregnancy! A new baby on the way.

Update #45: Great point.
