Jonathan's Fall 2016 Schedule Predictions - May 9, 2016

Hello all, I'm Jonathan, writer of the Nashville reviews, random TV posts, and the Reality Shows Renew/Cancel Watch, and I have decided to make one final schedule prediction post, as the season is coming to a close pretty soon.
Image result for broadcast networks

ABC

Sunday
6-America's Funniest Home Videos
7-Once Upon A Time
8-Conviction
9-Quantico
Sunday would stay the same except for the exception of a new show at eight, Conviction. I think it would pair well with Quantico.

Monday
7-Dancing With The Stars
9-Nashville
If ABC is smart, they would end Castle due to the horrible backlash it is getting, and it will most likely not do well next season. I think Nashville will be saved due to the extra money it gets from syndication, tours, music, and Nashville the city paying for some production. I think it would pair well with DWTS, as it is about music and DWTS is a dancing show, so they somewhat go together.

Tuesday
7-Fresh Off The Boat
7:30-Square Roots
8-Designated Survivor
9-Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.
Fresh Off The Boat would launch a new show next year, as I see The Real O'Neals being cancelled. Then, I see AOS and Designated Survivor pairing really, really well. Perhaps it could fix ABC's Tuesday troubles.

Wednesday
7-The Middle
7:30-The Goldbergs
8-Modern Family
8:30-Imaginary Mary
9-Black-ish
9:30-The Second Fattest Housewife in Westport
I have always thought it was a bad idea to schedule a whole bunch of comedies, followed by a country music drama, as I see absolutely no audience overlap. So I think it may work really well to schedule an entire comedy night.

Thursday
7-Grey's Anatomy
8-Secrets & Lies
9-How To Get Away With Murder
With Scandal most likely being pushed to midseason, I think it would be smart to plug Secrets & Lies in its slot, versus a new Shonda show. S&L already being off of the air for over a year, I don't think it will be pushed beyond fall, and it could really work here.

Friday
7-Last Man Standing
7:30-Dr. Ken
8-Shark Tank
9-20/20
Fridays have no change.

Midseason:
Presence or Broken
Still Star Crossed
Time After Time
Scandal
Dream Team

CBS

Sunday
6-60 Minutes
7-Madam Secretary
8-Drew
9-Elementary
With The Good Wife ending, CBS will need a new show at 8, and I think Drew would pair perfectly with Elementary. They are both detective shows-enough said.

Monday
7-TBBT
7:30-Kevin Can Wait
8-Supergirl
9-Scorpion
I think TBBT should stay on Mondays next season, launching new comedy Kevin Can Wait. Then returning dramas Supergirl and Scorpion would follow. I don't see Supergirl going to any other night, and Scorpion would stay where it always is.

Tuesday
7-NCIS
8-NCIS: New Orleans
9-Limitless
No changes.

Wednesday
7-Survivor
8-Criminal Minds
9-Doubt
I would have put CMBB after Criminal Minds, but when it was not renewed with Criminal Minds, it made me think maybe CBS doesn't care for the show too much, or perhaps they were not too happy with it's ratings. While I still see it being renewed, I think it will be held for midseason. In the meantime, a new show would be launched, Doubt, just like Code Black and CMBB were scheduled this season.

Thursday
7-Life In Pieces
7:30-The Great Indoors
8-Mom
8:30-2 Broke Girls
9-NCIS: Los Angeles
With TBBT staying on Monday, Life in Pieces would move and stay to Thursdays, launching a new comedy after it. Then we would have the usual Mom and 2 Broke Girls. Following this, I really think CBS needs to fix their 10/9c Thursday slot. So why not plug a proven hit there, NCIS LA.

Friday
7-The Amazing Race
8-Hawaii Five-0
9-Blue Bloods
No changes.

Midseason
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
Bunker Hill
My Time/Your Time
The Odd Couple

CW

Monday
7-Crazy Ex Girlfriend
8-Jane The Virgin
No changes. Except I only see CEG here for Fall.

Tuesday
7-The Flash
8-Riverdale
Clearly, The CW's big time new show will be Riverdale, so I think they will give it their biggest lead in, The Flash.

Wednesday
7-Arrow
8-Supernatural
No changes.

Thursday
7-Legends of Tomorrow
8-iZombie
With iZombie having to move, I think it would pair well with LOT, that and where else would it go?

Friday
7-The Vampire Diaries
8-The Originals
Keep the Vampire night.

Midseason:
The 100
Reign
The Originals
Colony or Frequency or No Tomorrow

NBC

Monday
7-The Voice
9-Time
As always, The Voice will launch a new show.

Tuesday
7-The Voice
8-Chicago Med
9-Chicago Fire
No changes.

Wednesday
7-Law & Order: SVU
8-Chicago PD
9-Taken
L&O:SVU and CPD move back an hour, and then launch a new show, Taken, which I am 99% sure will be on the Fall schedule.

Thursday
7-Superstore
7:30-Powerless
8-The Blacklist
9-Blindspot
Here is where NBC would launch a comedy block. Superstore would kick off the night, which would pair really well with another workplace comedy Powerless. Then The Blacklist would stay where it is, while Blindspot moves to 10/9. This should give some stability to the night.

Friday
7-The Mysteries of Laura
8-Grimm
9-Dateline NBC
I don't see The Mysteries of Laura staying in a good slot, with its mediocre ratings, so I think it would be perfect to move it to Friday, along with Grimm while it finishes its 13 episode run (most likely).

Midseason:
Shades of Blue
The Blacklist Spin-off
The Biggest Loser
Hollywood Game Night
Little Big Shots
Good Place
Imaginary Friend
Emerald City
Cruel Intentions
Sunset PPL
Chicago Justice

FOX

Sunday
7:30-Bob's Burgers
8-The Simpsons
8:30-Son of Zorn
9-Family Guy
9:30-The Last Man on Earth
New show launched, nothing else new.

Monday
7-Gotham
8-Lucifer
Nothing new. Gotham is not a big hit anymore, and it and Lucifer pair well together.

Tuesday
7-New Girl
7:30-The Mick
8-Scream Queens
Keep Scream Queens where it was, and have New Girl back in Fall, launching a new show.

Wednesday
7-Star
8-Empire
Star and Empire would pair amazingly well.

Thursday
7-Shots Fired
8-24: Legacy
I think both of these shows go together really well, and should help the night.

Friday
7-MasterChef Junior
8-Brooklyn Nine-Nine
8:30-New Comedy
With Brooklyn Nine-Nine's ratings I think it would work moving to Fridays, along with another comedy, and MasterChef Junior.

Midseason
Bones
Pitch
Rosewood
Hell's Kitchen
MasterChef Junior
New shows
