CW Renew/Cancel Watch: Wants and Needs Edition

Hey folks, it's Jessica. This is a special Wants and Needs edition of the CW Renew/Cancel Watch. I will give my insight on what I think the network needs versus what I think the network wants. But first, here comes the table.
Final Season Certain to be Canceled Watching Renewed
Beauty and the Beast Significant Mother Containment Arrow

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

iZombie

Jane the Virgin

Reign

Supernatural

The 100

The Flash

The Originals (F)

The Vampire Diaries (F)

What the CW Needs: The Entire Monday Lineup
Mondays have been severely underperforming this season. Ratings are lower on Mondays than they are on Fridays. Here are three different possibilities:

Possibility #1
8:00 - The Vampire Diaries
9:00 - The Originals

Possibility #2
8:00 - No Tomorrow
9:00 - Jane the Virgin

Possibility #3
8:00 - iZombie
9:00 - Supernatural

While I think it's unlikely that the third possibility would happen, I put the two together because they are both procedurals. And since they both skew about the same with males and females, this would provide decent counter-programming in a night where female skewing reality shows are dominating against DC Comics shows (yes, we are looking at you, Supergirl and Gotham). However, I think there are some cons to the third possibility. This could possibly hurt Supernatural in the long run. Maybe even both.

Here's another possibility:
8:00 - Riverdale
9:00 - Supernatural

Riverdale and No Tomorrow are the most buzzed about CW pilots this pilot season. Since I expect that there will be one fall premiere, I think that one of the shows will get benched to midseason.

What the CW Wants: Friday Lineup, Tuesdays at 9pm, Thursdays at 9pm
I suspect that at least one of the CBS shows will move to Fridays for next season. I think that prime candidate would be either Crazy Ex-Girlfriend or Jane the Virgin. Crazy Ex has a niche audience, so I suspect that it will get about the same ratings on Fridays as it currently does on Mondays, and with the Golden Globe eligibility period, I think that season 2 will have to air in that eligibility period (January 1-December 31, 2016 for the 2017 Golden Globes). Jane the Virgin, on the other hand, will be close to syndication at the end of its third season.

Networks tolerate ratings at levels 20-30% lower than shows that air Monday through Thursday.

Tuesday at 9pm has been somewhat troubling recently. I still think that the network will want to try to launch a new show after The Flash.

8:00 - The Flash
9:00 - Riverdale

However, I see the other side of things. The Flash has dropped to a 1.1 A18-49 rating this week. I also think that a veteran will have to be moved.

8:00 - The Flash
9:00 - The 100

There's also the Legends of Tomorrow factor. Legends of Tomorrow is the third highest rated show. I think that the the network will want some stability on Thursdays.

8:00 - Legends of Tomorrow
9:00 - The 100

The 100 seems to have found its place, but I will have to wait a few more weeks.
