2016-2017 TV Season: What We Already Know

It's only January 2016, yet there are already several shows that have been ordered to series, usually as a blind commitment, which is always very risky. So here's what we know so far on what's not returning and what could replace them.

Untitled Star Trek CBS All-Access Sci-Fi Drama Not much yet other than that it takes place in the Star Trek Universe and introduce new characters
Shots Fired FOX Limited Series Drama About racial shootings in Tennessee and its media attention, starring Sanaa Lathan as an investigator in the Department of Justice
Son of Zorn FOX Live Action/Animated Hybrid Jason Sudeikis voices an animated warrior who simultaneously juggles an office job, a war on another planet, and reconnecting with his human ex-wife and son
Emerald City NBC Fantasy Drama OK, technically this Wizard of Oz adaption show was uncanceled from a previous development cycle, but will not air until fall 2016.
Good Place NBC Single-Cam Comedy Kristen Bell stars as a woman from New Jersey who decides that she is a bad person. Ted Danson stars as her unlikely guide/life advisor.
Patient Zero NBC Drama About a woman with unknown symptoms and an FBI agent who is investigating a terrorist attack that may or may not be related
Taken NBC Drama Described as a prequel to the movie series

In addition, FOX has announced that pilot Urban Cowboy will not go forward, and that Prison Break and 24 will both see revivals.
